AAJA-Asia is a non-profit professional organization for journalists, committed to encouraging diversity in newsrooms, mentoring young journalists and ensuring fair and accurate coverage of minority groups. In the US, where AAJA is based, AAJA-Asia’s sister chapters serve Asian American and Pacific Islander journalists. AAJA-Asia has members across the region, with groups in Seoul, Hong Kong, Beijing and Thailand.

The Journalism & Media Studies Centre (JMSC) at The University of Hong Kong runs premier programs for undergraduate and post-graduate media students, equipping them with multimedia know-how and in-depth reporting skills. Historic Eliot Hall, built in 1914, is the home of JMSC and the location of the 2013 NewNowNext Media Conference.
