赖嫦仍无消息 家人借钱准备赴新

羊城晚报讯 记者陈辉报道：截至记者发稿时，被困于新西兰地震废墟下的广州女孩赖嫦仍没有消息。23日下午，赖嫦的父母和丈夫已办好了护照，有关部门特事特办，他们无需办理签证就可以随时赶往新西兰。24日，赖嫦父亲着手借钱和兑换外币，作好随时出发的准备。

全家随时准备赴新

考虑到一人到新西兰的机票就要7000多元，23日下午6时赖伯办好护照一回到家，就忙着打电话借钱，并联系好第二天去银行兑换成外币。他们23日晚上商量，得到赖嫦进一步确切消息后，将作出何时出发的决定。

羊城晚报记者23日下午赶到赖嫦位于小北路豆腐寮的家时，很多亲戚赶来陪着赖伯老两口守候消息。

赖嫦的丈夫23日上午也赶到赖嫦父母家。他和赖嫦去年结婚，由于赖嫦几个月后就去了新西兰，所以一直没有摆酒，这也就成了赖伯口中的“未来女婿”。在丈夫眼中，赖嫦是个很聪明的女孩，他很支持妻子出国进修，两人每周都进行一次视频通话。

留学只为改变家境

赖嫦的家是个典型的老广州家庭，房子只有20多平方米，客厅很简陋，搭了一层不到一米高的阁楼。阁楼一分为二。赖嫦爷爷还在世时，这个阁楼一半是赖嫦父母住，一半是赖嫦住，赖嫦的丈夫在中山工作，所以赖嫦出国前一直住在这个阁楼里。



赖嫦是家中的独女，在家人眼中，赖嫦学习一直十分努力。她2002年从广州中医药大学专科毕业，又专升本读了三年本科。赖嫦妈妈说，当时班里专升本只有两三个人，其中就有赖嫦，她好棒的！说到这里，赖嫦妈妈失声痛哭。毕业后赖嫦先在中山骨科医院工作了一年，后又到广东省口腔医院工作。

为何放弃了省口腔医院这么好的工作，去新西兰读书？家人回答说，赖嫦想提升自己，另外也想改变一下家境。赖伯40多岁就下了岗，卖了很长时间杂货。赖嫦的母亲退休前在一家服装厂工作，月收入只有两三百元，当时全家就靠赖嫦爷爷每月一千多元的退休金过活，一直到赖嫦妈妈退休后有了两千多元的退休金，他们的情况才略有改观。

赖嫦的姨妈说，赖嫦从小就特别懂事，她出国也是想借此改变家庭生活。

The search has now been abandoned at the Canterbury Television Centre, with rescue officials telling friends and family there is little chance of survivors.

据外电报道，新西兰警方23日放弃了在一栋倒塌6层楼房废墟中搜救失踪人员的努力，称可能会有若干名外国留学生死亡。据悉，有中国留学生在这栋大楼内的英语学院就读。
　　警方搜救行动指挥官劳利(Dave Lawry)说：“坎特伯雷电视台大楼内有很多外国留学生，”
　　“照目前形势来看，我们认为这个地点已经没有幸存者。”
　　劳利说，这栋大楼的3层是皇家教育大学的英语学院。这栋大楼的楼体情况持续恶化，有可能进一步坍塌，危及救援人员生命。
　　他对记者说：“我不想让工作人员冒险去营救我认为没有幸存可能的人。”
　　劳利说，救援人员正在将救援工具转往其他更有可能找到幸存者的地区，他说：“这很不幸”。
　　据新西兰媒体报道，救援人员已从这栋大楼废墟抬出24人，目前已经确认有7人死亡，至少22人被列入失踪名单。
　　劳利没有明确指出被困人员的国籍，但据报道，至少有23名日本人被困在这栋大楼中，2名韩国留学生——一对20几岁的兄妹也可能被埋在大楼的废墟中。
　　皇家教育大学的网站显示，该学校外国留学生主要来自菲律宾、日本、韩国、中国与泰国等国家。
